Finn Leslie Donington GP – Round 2 of the TCR UK Touring Car Championship was never going to be easy. Just weeks after a sensational debut, Finn returned to Donington Park to race on the full Grand Prix layout. But this time, the challenge came with an added twist: a 30kg success ballast earned from his Round 1 podium.
Turning 17 in February, Finn is one of the youngest drivers on the grid. He’s fresh out of the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship, where he became Mk7 class champion in 2024. Despite his age, he’s already turning heads in the senior touring car paddock.

The extra weight had a noticeable impact on performance. It made the car harder to rotate through the high-speed corners and increased tyre degradation. Finn qualified P9, a few spots lower than expected, but still firmly in the fight.
In Race 1, he made smart, composed moves to climb to P6. His ability to defend while staying clean showed maturity and precision. Race 2 brought similar challenges, but Finn kept pushing and secured P8, collecting more points for the championship.

“It wasn’t the result we were hoping for, but it’s weekends like this that make the difference over a season,” Finn said. “We kept calm, made the most of it, and I’m grateful for everyone who helps make this possible.”
Finn Leslie drives for Power Maxed Racing, a top team in both TCR UK and British Touring Cars. Their support, along with a dedicated group of sponsors, gives him the platform to grow and compete.
While this weekend was tougher than his debut, Finn proved he can perform under pressure. He leaves Donington GP still in the championship mix, gaining experience every time he hits the track.
