Round 4 of the TCR UK Championship at Croft delivered another massive step forward for Finn Leslie, as the 17-year-old stormed back onto the podium and cemented his place in the championship fight. With strong pace across all three races, Finn and the Power Maxed Racing team proved once again they’re a force to be reckoned with in 2024.
Qualifying, P6 and Ready to Race
Croft’s technical layout can be unforgiving, but Finn found the rhythm early, putting in a sharp qualifying session to secure P6 on the grid. It was a confident base to build from, and it didn’t take long for him to start climbing.
Race 1, From Sixth to Fourth
In Race 1, Finn showed his now trademark composure and calculated aggression, working his way up from P6 to P4 in a measured and mature drive. With overtaking opportunities limited at Croft, it was a clean, effective run that delivered solid points and a signal of things to come.
Race 2, Pure Class to the Podium
Starting P7 on the partially reversed grid, Finn lit up the timing screens with one of the standout drives of the day. Cutting through the field with pinpoint moves and relentless consistency, he powered his way to P2, returning to the TCR UK podium and earning another trophy for the cabinet.
Race 3, The One That Got Away
Lining up P6 once again for Race 3, hopes were high for another strong result. But motorsport can be cruel, and a technical issue brought his race to a premature end, logging a DNF and what could have been more crucial points left on the table.
Championship Update
Despite the setback, Finn’s performance across the weekend moves him back up to P5 in the championship standings, and firmly back in the mix heading into the next round.
“What a weekend up north,” Finn said. “Another great chunk of points and a big thank you to my team at Power Maxed Racing, the work they put in behind the scenes is phenomenal. And of course, to my sponsors, I couldn’t do it without you.”
Croft delivered progress, pace and a podium. The push continues.
