A Weekend of Highs and Lows

Round 3 of the TCR UK Championship took Finn Leslie to the fast and frantic Silverstone National circuit. It was a weekend full of ups and downs, but underneath it all came a strong sense of progress. From tricky starting positions to charging drives through the field, the pace was clear and the energy in the Power Maxed Racing garage remained fully focused.

Race 1 Frustration but Lessons Learned

Saturday’s opening race saw Finn start from P10. Expectations were high, but things didn’t go to plan. A mid-race issue forced a DNF, bringing an early end to what could have been a strong opener. It was a tough start, but behind the scenes, the team got to work. Overnight adjustments were made, confidence was rebuilt, and the goal was simple, bounce back stronger.

Charging Through the Field in Race 2

Starting deep in the pack from P16, Finn delivered one of the standout performances of the weekend. Calm, controlled and quick, he picked off car after car to finish in P5 by the chequered flag. It was a proper fightback drive that showed the car had pace and that the earlier issues were behind them. On a circuit where clean overtakes are far from easy, it was an impressive result that lifted spirits in the garage.

Strong Finish, Tough Penalty

Race 3 saw Finn start from P11 and once again, he made solid progress. By the time the flag dropped, he was sitting in P6, but a post-race penalty pushed him back to P8. While not the finish he had hoped for, it was another consistent result that kept the points tally ticking over.

Finding the Speed and Building Momentum

Despite the setbacks, Silverstone was a positive weekend overall. The underlying pace was strong and the team made real progress with the car’s handling and consistency. While starting from the back meant Finn couldn’t fight directly with the leaders, the ability to move through the pack with confidence was a clear sign that things are heading in the right direction.

“Massive thank you to everyone at Power Maxed Racing,” Finn said. “They’re some of the most hard-working people in the paddock. And as always, a huge thanks to my sponsors for the continued support.”

There were lessons to learn at Silverstone, but also plenty of reasons to be encouraged. With every round, the fight moves closer to the front.
